Grapevine Chocolate Fest @La Buenna Vida Winery Reviews
An Evening of Wine and Chocolate Apr 16, 2011
This annual event happens every March in support of the Dallas Fort Worth Travelers Aid project which is committed to assisting individuals and families who are
in transition, in crisis or who are separated from their normal support systems and are
facing a travel related crisis. The two days of fun, chocolate, music, art and food is just a great excuse to splurge on calories and give a little back to the community The Friday evening event features a variety of vendors and artist sampling their specialties including some great toffee from Wiseman House Fine Chocolates in Hico, TX, truffles from Special Occasion Chocolates and much much more. The only disappointment had to be the chicken served by an Italian steak house? All the wines were from La Beauna Vida winery. The red headed step daughter was a cool sweet sangria that paired well with some of the chocolates. The entire evening is always fun. Meeting new people, sampling the local wines and just having a good time. It is very reasonably priced at $50 a person and you even get to keep the glass. You can also go out and visit the vineyards just east of Main Street at the corner of College St. and Dooley in Grapevine.
