Grand Oasis Hotel Cancun

I stayed at this resort back in June when the swine flu scare was still at full scale. We got the room dirt cheap, only around $400 for 6 nights. This was the first all inclusive resort I had ever been too but it was amazing. I had read many reviews before booking this hotel and many of them were very bad. I had absolutely no issues with this hotel. The rooms were very big and decorated very well. Every room came with a balcony which was a big plus for me, as I am a smoker. The staff was very nice and all spoke english very well. The restaurants were nothing spectacular, but the buffets offered a lot of choices each and every day. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully kept. Palm trees everywhere are iguanas that rome around on the sidewalks and grass. There were 2 pool bars which I never used because they were always jam packed. If you call for room service, expect to wait a while. It took about an hour and 15 minutes for our food to come, but it was worth the wait as you can order as much as you want and not to mention, it was delicious! Check-in gets crazy because they don't allow you to check-in early. If yu get there before check-in time, they will take your luggage, give you your resort wristband and tell you to come back at 3pm. A lot of people get there early so at 3pm the lobby was like a zoo. Check-out was a breeze. If I am ever in Cancun again, and can get a good deal on this hotel, I will definitely be back, no questions asked.
