Grand Marais Vacation Guide
Grand Marais is a small town in northern Minnesota that lies on Lake Superior. There isn't much to do in the town itself but plenty to do in the area. There are a few shops specializing in northwoods gifts. The town serves as one of the entrances into Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The area offers plenty of cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails, hiking, biking, and paddling. If you want to act like a local when you go, make sure to stop by sven & ole's and have some pizza!

It was lunchtime, so we drove to Grand Marais to have lunch at the famous Sven and Ole’s. I thought it would be Scandinavian food given the name and heritage of the area, but it was a pizza joint. I was a little skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the pizza was.…
