Grand Hyatt Hotel Tokyo Travel Reviews

Oct 29, 2007
My parents stayed here while visiting me during my study abroad in Japan, even though my grandmother's house is just a 15 minute walk away!! They wanted their own vacation, I guess. Located in the Roppongi Hills mega complex, the Grand Hyatt is just steps away from world class restaurants, movie theater, shopping, clubs/bars, and the Roppongi subway station. The service is great, and the attention to detail is impressive. The rooms are sleek and modern with such delicious looking decor and fancy gadgets that you may never want to leave your room!
The only drawback about staying here is that you won't get the taste of "traditional" Japan. For that, you should travel outside of Tokyo and stay at a "ryokan" that includes a hot spring.
Some of my favorite restaurants are here, including the French Kitchen and Shunbou. The French Kitchen has a gorgeous lunch buffet, and Shunbou serves Japanese kaiseki (Japanese for lots of really small dishes with jewelry box-like presentation) They are a must, even if you don't stay at the hotel!

Basically, I want to live here. Just look at the photos on their webpage, and you'll understand.

I totally agree with you about this hotel! I stayed here about a year ago for about a week. Its cost an arm and a leg, and i was hardly in the room, but it was so nice just to walk in and have such an amazing feeling of "wow". I stayed in the Club Room - I wouldnt waste my money as the Exec Club was average - terrible even - but id definitely stay in their normal King rooms again! love it!

koticphreak says: This place is really nice! It seems like a business type hotel. We payed ~$160/night for 2 beds in a room, decently sized beds too, had a fridge, 17" tv, decent bathroom in the room with shower, big closet, not a lot of floor space. This room was pretty nice, and the location just ROCKED. 1/2 a bloc...

nineika says: I loved my 3 night stay at this hotel! It was $600 CDN for 3 nights which is very reasonable for Tokyo. The service was amazing and most employees spoke english. This is also a pick up location for Sunrise tours which was great. The location is perfect with close access to all public transit. They a...
