We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Beijing and were very happy with this hotel. I chose it because of it's location and amenities. Located within a ten minute walk of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the hotel can also arrange a bus tour for you to see the Great Wall Of China. It is also a shot cab ride to the Temple of Heaven. (we walked there from Tiananmen Square, but in retrospect, should have taken a cab)
They also have nice amenities, such as a gym, sauna, and an extensive pool complex that is like a jungle grotto with caves, waterfalls, trees, and two alcoves with hot tubs. Pool attendants are constantly refreshing towels and complimentary bottles of water by the rows of lounge chairs. We looked forward to a refreshing dip in the pool and relaxing in the hot tubs after long days of exploring Beijing on foot! Unlike some hotels, there was no extra charge to use these services.
