Grand Europe Hotel Lucerne Reviews

This Hotel was built in 1872 and is one of about 80 along the lake front in Lucerne. It boasts 180 rooms and I am sure that in its heyday was one of the finest hotels around. Not that it isn’t still a wonderful looking hotel. It is clean and the staff is quite helpful. But I would have to say that many small things have turned this once impressive hotel into a place used by tours. There is a wonderful front balcony on which you can sit and watch the sun slowly set over the mountains and lake while you enjoy a drink and conversation. The dining room is large and able to handle at least two large tour groups at once with very good food. And the bus stop across the street is convenient to take you the mile into downtown. I would rate just above the satisfactory range.

What to say about Luzern.....
Nice city, specialy the Kappel Brucke (rebuilded), the lake... what i most prefer is the "Rathaus Brauerei Luzern" excepcional beer....;)
