Spent the Summer in the US this year. We went to many of the Nationa Parks in the west here are a few of them .
Grand Canyon was the first. We stayed at the El Tovar with a balcony overlooking the rim. It was fantastic as we ordered in Breakfast to watch the sun rise. I have been there several times in the past but it is still amazing.

Grand Canyon National Park, a World Heritage Site, encompasses
1,218,375 acres and lies on the Colorado Plateau in northwestern

canyons. Forests are found at higher elevations while the lower
elevations are comprised of a series of desert basins.

Everyone must check out this 4000 ft. glass floor over hang that is mounted right off the side of the Grand Canyon. Walking on the glass looking straight down 4000ft. is a feeling words could not explain. I have been sky diving before many times and walking on the Sky Walk is right up there with it.

So by the South Entrance, they have a tiny village/town that hosts cheap and average hotels and restaurants. I remember going to this Mexican restaurant that also had an adjoining gift shop. I wouldn't recommend eating there. Just so you know. Not good food. Try the Italian place, it might be better.

Had the weekend free, so my colleague Annelette and I decided to catch the Grand Canyon. Started driving Saturday morning and drove straight up to the South Rim where the weather was truly spectacular! So much so, in fact, that we stopped at the grocery store in the little park village, bought some sandwich materials and decided to walk down the canyon a little until we felt we needed to turn back.
Well, turns out, neither of us wanted to stop, and we would up walking the entire ...
