It's hard to get to from the airports . Vegas or Flagstaff airports are the best reasonable airports and the drive time is 4 to 5 hours from each.

This is the only location to stay at the North Rim inside the park. Small room, sink is in the room close to the bed. No television or radio, no air conditioning, no pool. You have to carry your luggage a long way from the parking lot. There are e...read entire review at TravelPost.com

A Nice Place to Visit Aug 29, 2007
I made my reservation eight months in advance. I booked a Pioneer Cabin. It had two rooms, joined with a bathroom/shower. One room had two twins; the other had a double and a twin. Maids came in everyday to change linens.

We stopped to see Hoover Dam , then down to South Rim of the grand canyon. Spent the night and walked Bright Angel Trail. Stayed at the El Tovar Lodge. Very nice room with great view and then diner at the Lodge. Diner was expensive and not that great of a selection and then the food was not good. The next day drove to the North… The next leg of our adventure was Airzona |

There were short quarter mile hikes behind the lodge to see the view of the north rim. It was in the afternoon. The sky was hazy. I did not like my shots. The GC lodge is a nice place for stay if you don’t like camping. The cabins are small and expensive… HANGING OUT AT GRAND CANYON LODGE AND RELAXING |

Basic visitor services are available here - a gas station, lodge, campground, general store and restaurant. From the village, AZ 67 provides the only paved route to the north rim. As with US 180 approaching the south rim, the road passes through lush Alpine meadows and forests of fir and pine for 50 miles (part… WE ARE HERE!!!! |
