 Oct 22, 2000We stayed at the Grand Bali Beach hotel in Sanur. The hotel was big. Pool was good. The rooms were a bit tired. The location on Sanur beach was great. We had easy access to local food stalls on the beach ... very picturesque way to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sanur is great as it offers a happy medium for us. Kuta is too "town"-like with the shops and the younger set. At the other extreme, while Nusa Dua is too upmarket ... you can't even get good local food there and you don't feel like you're in Indonesia.
