Granbell Hotel Shibuya

Situated in one of Tokyo's most vibrant districts, the Granbell Hotel Shibuya was a great little find when I was researching for places to stay. I wanted an affordable, clean hotel room with breakfast, in the Shibuya area and the Granbell Hotel ticked all the boxes and more. The location is second to none if you want to stay in the heart of Shibuya, and this, coupled with the affordable price, makes the Granbell Hotel an excellent choice.

I opted for a single room, which was quite small but that's normal for Tokyo, and was pleased by the funky design of the interiors. The shower and toilet are situated in a glass room within the room which was pretty cool, but don't worry; there was a curtain available for privacy. Everything was spotless in the bathroom area, and included all the amenities of any hotel shower. The toilet was awesome as well, and I had a great time trying to figure out how to heat the seat and stop the bidet blasting out water!

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleaners were efficient as I came home each day to a spotless room. Breakfast was average, I only ate it once but it was passable. There are a multitude of places to eat breakfast or any other meal nearby, so you won't go hungry.

So, overall, I highly recommend the Granbell Hotel Shibuya, particularly if you're looking for clean, affordable hotel in Shibuya and are willing to accept that the Japanese like their room’s small!
