Granada 10, a somehow addictive experience... Oct 01, 2007
Granada 10 "Diez" is one of those places I really should have gotten tired of but never really did. There is something absolutely charming about a huge old theater being converted into a techno/funky house club with transvestites dancing on tables. The cost to get in is average for Granada, though cheap when compared to clubs in the capital city. I believe it was a 10 euro entrance fee when I went this past fall, though it may well have gone up. The nice thing about Granada being the small city that it is, is that it is relatively easy to make new friends at a local bar that just happened to know one of the many bouncers at this club, thus scoring you free entrance through the VIP line! :P From my personal experience I have found Spain to be very much a place where who you know can helpful; although I suppose that is true most places. I suppose I should just create one huge blog entitled, "How to meet random people in bars in Spain who happen to know everyone and can get you free stuff". ha I should mention that being a girl has its benefits, although this is more the case in Granada than in Madrid.

To see the world I don´t know and appreciate the world I do know. To draw the connections between places far away and my own home. Between other people and my people. It was midnight when we got back to Sevilla.  I was asleep within 10 minutes of getting back to the hotel. … Snow on a Saturday in Spain
