Food of the future, in an community setting Jul 05, 2011
This is the real deal. We all know some of the most interesting, authentic, and delicious food in the world is right here in NYC. And it's not in the Meatpacking district, Times Square or Hoboken. It's at restaurants like this one.

So what's makes this place so special? Wonderful gregarious host who also servers as the Chef. Food network + Martha Stewart, veteran and soon-to-be-famous Chef Mehta makes you feel like part of the family while dining here. Wine and warmth flows freely here. Yes you might have to share a table, but that's part of the fun. This is a quality, smart crowd. you won't be sitting with the hoi polloi.

The food is the center of attention: stunning and unique combinations make this the place people will be imitating in years to come --- Watermelon, feta cheese, with mint sorbet is one of the signature dishes. Asian, indian, and european flavors juxtaposed. But you don't have to be a foodie to nosh here, as the staff will guide you in ordering and also explain what you are eating, including the specific tastes you will experience.

An impressive place to take out-of-towners on a real nyc dining experience. Forget about Carmines. Come here.
