Gradets Vacation Guide
A village in Southeastern Bulgaria in the minisipality, Sliven Provence. It is the second most populous village in Bulgaria and is known for its high population of Bulgarian Roma, gypsies. It is beautifull kept up, and has most of the houses the way they were originally built hundreds of years ago.
The village is also known for its widespread masonry, some of the best stone slabs taken from the mountains are worked here first. On the outskirts of the town, almost every house you drive by has slabs of stone piled in front of their fence advertising their products.
Although its known for their Roma, and knowing everyones views on them, I can honestly say that the Roma in Gradets are wonderful. Very calm and relaxed, and extremely happy people.
