Gracery Ginza Hotel Tokyo Reviews
Great hotel in Ginza Jan 10, 2010
I've stayed in this hotel on two different trips, for a total of about 20 days. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to shopping, convenience stores, larger stores like Don Quixote, luxury shopping, wonderful restaraunts, and also the offices where I had meetings.
The staff is very helpful and friendly, and speak English! The lobby is comfortable, and the complimentary coffee is delicious. We had several meetings in the lobby. The front desk has maps of the area, and the staff gladly help you find locations and give a copy of the map to you. I used the same map all week, and just circled locations and labled them in English so I could get around without getting lost.
Right off the lobby is the restaraunt where I had breakfast daily. The buffet menu is wonderful, the staff pleasant and very helpful.
Also off the lobby is a spa store where you can get facials and other services, or you can order an in-room massage. I have had a couple of these and highly recommend it. You can request either a male or female masseuse, and they are always very professional and respectful.
My room was in the traditional Japanese style, with a step up from the door, so it is easy to leave your shoes near the entrance. The bed is on the floor, but very comfortable. I mention the bed on the floor because if your knees are not 100%, it could be a bit tricky getting up. I had a corner room with a great view of the city. There is a very handy desk in the room which made it easy to work on my computer.
The room has a pot for hot water and a small refriderator. The hotel provides you with two bottles of water daily, drip coffee, and tea in the room. The refridgerator was large enough for extra bottles, and fresh food that I bought nearby (like salads).
I am happy to stay there, and hope to again.

Central in Ginza Mar 31, 2010
A good central located hotel in the upscale Ginza. It is right above the Nikon shop. And all big brand- and departmentstores are around the corner.
Breakfast is a bit pour (everyday the same) if you stay more nights. Dinner options are nearby (more expensive in Ginza, or less expensive near the JR trainstation/Sony building).
Very safe, you need a keycard in the elevator to go to your floor. There are 2 computers with internet access, although no access to a printer. You can ask the reception to print.
Good location to visit the Tuna auction at 05:00 AM. It is only 15 minutes walk to the Tsukiji marketplace.
