I'd never been to Sweden before. A long time ago I met someone from Göteborg and had always intended to visit the place some day, but simply never got around to doing so. So now I was finally here, and I must say, it didn't disappoint. Even though we only visited the city for a couple of hours, I …

It has taken me two days to realize that there are no traffic lights here. Well, there are three, all on the largest street by the train station. The second largest city in the country and there are three intersections with traffic lights (and no stop signs whatsoever). I thought …

This is my Bog Blog!
Call them whatever you like:
dunnies, pissers, gravy bowls, pissoirs, porcelain caves, potties, loos, crappers, dumpers, shitters, outhouses, throne, bogs, longdrops, WC's.
As much as we dont want to think about it, even good looking girls have to crap every day!
The vast array of toilets in the world have fascinated me for a long time.
This blog will be continuously updated as long as I continue to travel the world and wake up needing to hang a dump.

The highlight in Goteborg was the archipelago. You can take the ferry in Saltholmen and visit the island you want. I can't remember the name of the island we visited, but it's worth a trip anyway.

Hong Kong -› Xiamen, China -› …
Setting off from Hong Kong in Aug 1992, 2 days after turning 22, I traveled China, Mongolia, Russia, Scandinavia, the Baltics, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, returning to Hong Kong in July 1993. Apart from Athens/Cairo, I never set foot on an airplane during this year-long walkabout. Before the days of digital cameras, internet, and mobile phones, this solo adventure was as much a discovery of myself as it was about these 31 countries. Many of them, like me, have long since changed.

This was one of the most stressful exchanges ever, I think. My timetable told me that I was supposed to arrive by train, hang out for an hour or so, and then catch another train out to Oslo where I was meeting Ingvild. Guess what didn't actually happen.I showed up all right, and then I started to l…

A wonderful spring jaunt from Stockholm, Goteborg and Malmo. A terrific country - modern, clean, and organised. Friendly, intelligent people. Great food and plenty to see and do. I love Sweden!
