Gospoda Pod Koziołkami

It was cold, a little rainy and we were hungry. The three of us felt like some hot soup and something Polish! So, after walking around the Market Square in Poznan checking out the possibilities we decided that Gospoda pos Koziołkami looked inviting. The decor is sort of "rustic polish" but at the same time elegant and inviting. For about 25€ per person we all had Żurek (a really tasty, typically Polish soup) - I had grilled chicken with a savory sauce, rice and green beans with bacon, Ana had Old Polish style beef roulades served with beetroot and horseradish salad and pickled cucumbers. Michał had spicy pork ribs with baked potatoes and saurkraut. We all liked our food - our only complaint about the food was that the soup wasn't hot enough. We each had a glass of red wine with lunch. The three of us also had dessert - Szarlotka (apple pie) with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream (me), Tiramisu (Ana) and Ice cream (Michał) - and coffee. The service was courteous, the food was good, the surroundings and atmosphere were pleasant... and for less than 30 Euros each it was just fine.
