Gordon's Newbury Reviews
Jun 02, 2007
Went to Gorden's in Newbury when my cousin came for a visit from London.
Gordon's has a bar/dancefloor on one side and a restaurant on the other and is decked out in modern simple decor with an African theme.
Tigerskin seat covers, porcelin animals and bamboo plants add to the ambiance of the place.
The food is resonably priced at about £12-£20 for a main and was very tasty.
I have to say the service was not good, it might have been an extra busy night but I have worked in restaurants and there was a lot of staff on who seemed to be doing very little. Drink service was very slow and we had to ask twice for a steak knife!!
I would go again though as the food was excellent.
