This is the closest thing to COuchSurfing I have done so far. Spring of 2007 a group of us spent a couple of months traveling through Provence, France with Rotary International, we would switch homes every few days and met with all of the Rotary Clubs in Provence. It was well worth it. And FOC!

Ahhh, Provence. What I love the most about Provence is the dry hot weather and the sounds of the "cigales". You can spend all your time outside enjoying the views there.

Gordes is a relatively small place, built along a hillside on several levels. There are so many nice vilages in Provence. I picked some of them from a movie "A Year in Provence" (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401445/) filmed based on the novel by Peter Mayle "A Year in Provence". I recommend this movie to everyone traveling to Provence. For the end of my Tour I made the mhytical climb with my bycicle to Mont Ventoux. It is nearly 2000 m high mountain which inspired already Italian poet Petrarca.... more photos to come...
