Gordan Lighthous Oct 21, 2016
The Gordan Lighthouse is build on Gurdan Hill. The building stared in 1852 and was finished in 1853 it's main function was for the protection of the Maltese Islands. It is still operating today though not in it's original state. It's all automatic nowadays, though we did meet someone checking on the lighthouse during one of our visits to the top.

The Lighthouse is located on a hill and is located 180 meters above sea level. It's beam can be seen from 50 km away.

You can walk all the way up to the top of the hill. you can also drive for the biggest part (by car, bike or scooter) and walk the last part. At the top you will get a 360 view of Gozo. It is the perfect place for a sunrise or sunset.

The lighthouse itself is not all that special but the view is amazing. There are a lot of rocks and there is no real hiking pad so be careful but I would recommend this free activity any day!
