New Year's Eve in a hostel Jan 06, 2013
This hostel is situated in the center of Krakow. And although it is in the center, the street that you are in is quiet and you can actually sleep during the day - if you want to. The first good thing about it is that the stuff and ladies on the reception are awesome. They are helpful, cheerful and always ready for jokes (and for showing popular polish music on youtube). The second thing is security - the hostel has bars on the entrance and although it may look like prison at first, it's actually pretty good system because no one can enter outside the hostel. The beds are okay, not too comfortable but if you're really tired you won't notice anything. There are lockers under the bunk beds to keep your things safe while you're out. The biggest room was with 12 bunk bed. The walls are cool, they have drawings on them and the whole room is not blank. The reception and the walls in the halls are awesome, also painted. The cleaning lady comes every morning around 7, 8 am and cleans the bathroom. The breakfast is from 8 - 10:30 (on the first morning of the NYE is 'til 12:30!) and you can find salami, cheese, cereals, juice and similar.

We were very satisfied and if we ever get back to Krakow, I think this will be our hostel again. :)

Excellent location and great team Mar 16, 2009
This hostel is excellent if you want a central location with great overall facilities and a fun team of guys who do everything to make your stay perfect. They have things going on in the hostel most nights getting the people staying there together providing free vodka, dvds and in all a stay to remember. It is a 2 minute walk from the Krakow city square where you will be able to find a whole host of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Also the main area for shopping with a central market selling loads of handmade items. If you are ever in Krakow do not miss out on this gem of a hostel. Each bed has its own lockable drawer underneath the bunk granted these are not THE most secure lockers as my friend managed to open his locker without the key but are fine to store your things in. The toilet and shower facilities are located on each floor and you share each bathroom between two dorms. When we was there we had no trouble with getting straight in to the bathroom however at peak season I can imagine this to be very busy. It was a very clean hostel with a cleaner seen everyday providing a good service. Breakfast was the usual continental food but very good and I managed to get myself sorted for the day with it. Activities can be booked through the hostel at good rates and this is where we booked our trip to the shooting range and the team od guys are always willing to help. Overall good value for money hostel, if ever back in Krakow I would stay here again.

Goodbye Lenin Let's Rock Oct 10, 2009
Goodbye Lenin is a great hostel to stay in in Krakow. It is located on Groska street between Market Square and Wawel Castle. It is about a 5 to 10 minute walk in any direction to see the sites of Krakow. On top of location though you have an excellent staff who is will to help you find just about anything in the city and with the map provided by the hostel and directions it is easy to get around. The hostel also has events that are hosted through out the week that are listed on their website.
