Good Karma Bungalow Amed Reviews
Talking and Joking with Baba Sep 25, 2010
One of my favorite place in Bali is Amed and stay in Good Karma Bungalow is really right choice.
I came very late in the night and just turn down to Good Karma, lucky that they still have one big bungalow left.
The bungalow made from bamboo, support and sink in the middle of Amed's nature. Very simple bungalow, with nice open air bathroom (check the flush work out or not)
Located in the quite bay and in the middle of fisherman village, where very calm and beautiful. The locals are very nice, and see their daily life when the boat depart in the morning and come back in the afternoon is one of interesting moment.
In the morning do not miss sunrise view, in the good weather you can see golden sunrise with Mt. Rinjani Lombok as background.
For the guest who want to do yoga, they have place in front of the beach and after enjoy the delicious breakfast (My favorite is cheese pancake and cheese omelette) . For lunch and dinner, the restaurant which has cozy atmosphere offer some dishes with quite cheap price.
Good Karma is one of favourite place for people whose interest in spiritual thing to stay, I was lucky met with some Yoga teacher whose with nicely teach some yoga and enjoying good conversation in breakfast time.
While enjoy the breeze, don't forget to try Chai tea here, they have fine Chai tea ;)
Note : Good Karma is not a place for people who want to stay in a luxury place (swimming pool, AC). Only people who prefer to stay in nature will enjoy this place.

Low Budget Accommodation! Mar 24, 2010
I was looking for a nice stay at Amed/Bali, but i was arriving late in the afternoon and it was very bussy. So we stoped at the Good Karma Bungalow, the first impression was good, the lacation was perfect, on the beach there where severall bungalows (10), all with a beautiful view.
they offered me the last bungalow, which I accepted! The location is stunning, a beautiful sea view, including your own private beach in front of the bungalow. The bungalow is simple but has lots of space with a staircase to get on the first floor where a double bed is. On the ground floor there is a big double bed, set of bamboo, there is a table and a shelf. At the back, the toilet and shower in the open air, protected by a wall and heavy vegetation.
Sunrise is spectacular, as the sun rises behind Mt Rinjani on Lombok.
The restaurant is quite good, also right on the beach, so it's a lovely setting, the meals are a bit uninspired (not real exciting - lots of noodles and fish) but not too expensive (around 12,000 to 25,000 rupiah).
The included breakfast is good - 2 dishes of your choice (choose from eggs, toast, pancakes, omelettes, jaffles, fruit salad etc) plus a hot drink. We loved the egg & tomato jaffle with a banana pancake and hot sweet tea...mmmmmm...
Good Karma don't have any contact details - they told us, not even a phone number - so you can't make a reservation - just turn up.
The best way to find Good Karma (there aren't many signs pointing the way) is to just keep following the signs to Blue Moon Villas, and then just before you get to Blue Moon Villas, you will come over a hill and as you head down, Good Karma will be on your left, nestled into the bay.
You'll see a high rock wall (the wall of a temple that Baba, the owner, is building) and a tree-shaded driveway, and there will be a sign on your right opposite the driveway, saying "Good Karma"
Good Karma is good for people on a budget who are looking for a simple, quiet, rustic place, with no frills.
Good Karma is not good for people who need luxury, air conditioning, or a swimming pool.
For me it was a nice stay, one with nature, the silence was great!
