We stayed here for 4 nights in this fine hotel. It is really populair with younger people. It is situated on 7th street and just minutes walk form public transport. Book on the internet for the best rate. The also have good parking prices for your car, cheaper than other hotels.

The Good Hotel is a hip San Francisco hotel that practices philanthropy and believes in doing good for the planet. The eco-friendly hotel décor features reclaimed and recycled construction materials. Vending machines in the lobby are stocked with wallets made from FedEx envelopes and are one example of our inventive ideas to promote a good lifestyle. We are also as fun as we are inventive. You’ll find humorous touches like “Be Good” written on walls of your room

This hotel is not in the greatest neighbourhood so it is not for the faint of heart. We stayed in a Family Room which was two rooms linked with a hallway and a shared toilet and shower. Nicely laid out. Beds were small and so was the toilet and shower area. Each room had it's own sink and mirror area.

We stayed 4 nights and on the 4th we were a little worried about the other guests. Fighting, screaming, etc.

You can tell the staff and hotel are trying to turn this one around from that clientele but it may be a little ways off at the price point they have. It is cheap.

Would recommend for younger travellers looking for a little more than a hostel but still wanting to be frugal.

Would not recommend for families.

Restaurant and staff were fantastic.

Stayed at some really good hotels and ate some really good food. We did go out to Alcatraz and met saw the place that would be made into movies and books. We met Frenchie, that is what we called him. Frenchie was on a mission. He wanted to see all of the city… Shopping and having fun

The hotel is good, although we only just managed to park Jimmy in there underground car park, Si 'dodgy eyes' had to guide me in, it was a bit like 'its a knockout' !! The next day we headed down hill ( I made sure of that) to the tram… Soo many hills !!

I was so excited, there is nothing betterin the morning than a good breakfast at the hotel. You can imagine what a disappointment. In a room no bigger than 10 sq m you can make yourself a toast, pour some coffee or juice and grab a muffin or orange. Of course you take it to your room… FIRST TIME IN USA ? HAPPENED TO BE IN SAN FRANCISCO

Many of the stores are the same nationwide and they offer the same good value and quality not found anywhere else in the world. This is a very blessed country in many ways. We checked into the very luxurious Sofitel at Foster City ... probably the nicest hotel we've ever paid good money for ... only to realise… Bad news from home
