Golden Vacation Guide
Golden is situated in the Kootenay region of BC. It is surrounded by national parks, an borders on the Rockies.
It is a small town of roughly 5,000 people, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in natural beauty. The mountains and beautiful forests can be seen from anywhere in town, and you can look down from the town into the kicking Horse Canyon.
Golden was founded in the late 1800's when the railroad was completed. This brought in lots of business and got the town rolling.
