Golden Nugget Hotel Las Vegas

This was the first time that I stayed downtown as opposed to the Strip. I will be staying downtown in the future and I'll be staying at the Golden Nugget. The employees (everyone that I came into contact with) had a smile on their face and tried their best to make your day. It was such a pleasure to "spend my money!" Haha! The Shark Tank is something to check out, for sure! I highly, highly recommend eating at the Grotto as well. Reasonably priced but excellent food!

My husband and I stayed at Golden Nugget over Thanksgiving in 2008. It was our 1st time staying down on Fremont Street and we were a little unsure of how we'd like being away from the strip. Both of us absolutely loved it!!

The hotel is wonderful . . . beautiful hotel and very clean. Staff is great! The pool is incredible and the bar at the pool is reasonable as well! Fairly inexpensive to dine but the best part was everywhere else on Fremont is so cheap to eat too!

For a 1st time in Vegas I would recommend the strip experience but if you've been top vegas many of times and you just want a relaxing getaway with conveince I'd recommend staying down on Fremont Street!

Highly recommend Fremont for Bachelor/ette parties. You can get inexpensive hotels as well as Golden Nugget has great rates and you can save so much money on just eating and gambling on Fremont as opposed to the strip.

Buy a $5 24hour pass for the Deuce to go to the strip. Don't take a taxi take advantage of the Deuce!

We were robbed in our room! The management staff did nothing for us. They lied to us about speaking with their "risk management" department, refused to refund our money we had spent on show tickets because we had to go file a report at the police department, and only did an investigation after we complained to the owner. When the investigation showed that the only people in our room that day (besides us) were the maid service, they closed the investigation and said they had "satisfied their duty of care," and that was all they were legally required to do. We have never even received an apology! Their 4 diamond status is a JOKE.

Awesome fremont street is the best experience why stay up town when all the real excitement is is down town....
