A Low Cost and quick Ride to San Juan - Cataño Ferry Feb 05, 2009
When we were in Puerto Rico we were staying in Levittown and wanted to visit Old San Juan, sure we could drive over there, but there was a more interesting and fun option: The Cataño Ferry.
This one crosses the bay from Cataño to Old San Juan. It's a quick 8-minute ride, and it runs in one direction or the other direction every 15-30 minutes. You can see the old city wall, San Juan gate and El Morro in the distance. We were there during the sunset and the views were amazing! It's a great way to reach Old San Juan. You can forget about the traffic and park your car near the Ferry terminal. I recommend you to buy a round-trip ticket (just US$ 1) and enjoy your visit to Old San Juan. Part of the 2nd Meet Up was my 1st time in the Caribbean - Puerto Rico, yay!! :) travel blog |
