If you find yourself in Munich's Marienplatz waiting to see the Glockenspiel on the hour and the weather is not great then go into the nearby Hugendubel bookstore and from the 2nd or 3rd floors you get a great view, which is also warm and dry :-)

Make sure you see the glockenspiel in Munich.
The giant clock that is extremely elaborat and a pretty long preformace. You have to stand and look up, but its pretty cool. Also, if you're from America and know what Aldis is, then you can see the world head quarters in Munich as well. haah. Have fun!

okidokie, it's important ton know the time, when the glockenspiel starts. it's every day at 11 o clock in the morning at marienplatz, directly in front of the gotrhic city hall. don't miss it!!!

findmeabeach says: These guys have been brewing beer since the 1400's so they should be ok at it by now! This is a traditional bier hall where you sit at long tables and rub elbows with the locals. Far less of the tourists you will find at Hofbrauhaus for example. Good beer, typical bavarian food
asenden says: Typical Bavarian Food. One of the oldest Restaurants in Munich
yakdav says: The quintessential Munich beer hall - touristy but still the one to go to in the city center.
