A little bit of Germany in the Twin Cities Jan 04, 2008
The first place my roomate took me when I moved to the cities in the fall was the Glockenspiel. She is part German, loves germany and loves german food.
You walk in and the atmosphere has alot of German memorabilia on the walls to give a very nice ambiance for dinner. The waiters and waitress staff is also very courtious and informative if you have a question about the menu. I ordered the Schweinschnitzel which is Breaded pork cutlet served with french fries and vegetables. The food was very good... but the one thing I was warned about when coming to Minnesota is the food is very bland... with not alot of spices added to the meals. The same thing was with this dish. I used to never have to add pepper to my meals but with moving here I put it almost on every dish. In fact... I read that the Thai restaurants put less spice in the food out of courisy to the residents of the state. But all in all it was a very good meal! Part of the My Snow Globe I used to call Home... Oh My GOSH... I am so excited... I have been waiting for this since January 6th (And I think it might be in my Pompeii blog from Januar 6th)... but Star Wars came to St. Paul!!!! I was able to come here after work and called ahead for my ticke…… A long time ago... in a galaxy far far away.... there was a snow globe... |
