Global Restaurant Yangon Reviews
Dining with locals for little money Jan 14, 2008
Don't let the looks of the restaurant scare you off, go in, sit down and ask for the menu. Some of the waiters speak some decent English, others are more the non verbal kind of guys...
Chances are that you will be the only tourist in the facility, the restaurant is more popular with local customers that are always ready for a chat.
The menu is not as extensive as in the expensive restaurants, but I'm sure there'll be something to anyone's liking. Dishes that are very recommendable are the Prawn Salade (cold, but somewhat spicy) and the Global Special Soup (don't order a main course, the soup will suffice!!).
If you don't mind two tv's playing, the waiters switching channels every now and then, this is the place to be for a quick lunch or a good dinner.
