Great Glenwood Experience Feb 27, 2011
This hostel is a fun place to stay in a pinch. It is on the main strip in town, so you are only a few minutes walk away from shops, restaurants and the hot spring pool. There are both male and female communal rooms, costing $16 a night. You can also get a private room; $25 for one person or $33 for two, with the option of getting a family room for $58, which fits four people. For some reason, they do not let you use sleeping bags on their beds, so bring your own linens or rent some for $2.
The amenities include: two full kitchens, with all pots, pans, utensils, etc. available, as long as you clean up after yourself. A fridge to store your perishables, as long as you label them. A washing machine and dryer. Outdoor area to hang out in. Thousands of records to play at your leisure. Aaaand, a reduced price ticket to the Yampah Spa vapor caves. The people who run the place are very welcoming and accommodating. There IS a dog that lives in the house, so if you have allergies, keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that this is a hostel, not a hotel; so there might be some odd characters in residence.
