Glendurgan Garden Sep 16, 2010
This is to supplement the information in my blog of Cornwall 2008. South of the road that leads roughly SSW (at first) from Mawnan Smith, there are two adjacent gardens open to the public; Trebah and Glendurgan. I have heard excellent reports of both but, as National Trust members, we could go into Glendurgan free. The house is not open to the public.

The garden falls beside a sheltered valley right to the helford River with plenty of tropical trees being able to flourish. We were there at the primrose season and were surprised to see some pink primroses as well as the normal ones.

A major feature of the garden is the laurel maze, planted in the 1830s.
