Cozy Place Apr 30, 2017
Our third night in UK, Kendal is one of our route in the Cumbria. The location of Glen Guesthouse is just a short drive to Kendal center, an ideal place to stay for people with car. We choose this house as they provide free parking for guest.

Both owners are super friendly and welcoming, they also communicates via email a few days before the arrival. When we arrived she was there already it looks like she knew what time we arrived (lol), we enter to a small lobby which connected the kitchen and breakfast room.

After registered she took us to our room, but before going to the stairway she point us the fridge which was standing right next door - water and milk is available

Our room is on the first floor, sorry to say, you have to carry your luggage to a carpeted stairs. A cosy room with twin beds - nice and clean. In the room: television, coffee/tea maker, carpet floor and free wifi, alarm clock

Bathroom is not big and is super clean with lots of toiletries

The owner explain about the breakfast which is included in the room rate- she show us the book where we need to fill the breakfast form and this will collected later. Choices are: sausage, bacon, grilled tomato, mushroms, baked beans and eggs. Set a time when you need to eat in the morning

Breakfast is freshly cooked it didn't take long to serve. While waited there are toast, cereals, fresh fruits, juices on the table (self service)

Price of 93€ is expensive for a guesthouse, but during our research for accommodations this was the lowest price we found in Kendal with parking. Having a car is not easy to find a cheap place to stay with free parking, some hotels in the center charge extra for a parking

This looks like a nice guesthouse, even if it is a bit expensive. I've never been to Kendal, though it seems to be right between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.
