Glass Bottom Boat - Na'ama Bay Sharm El Sheikh Reviews
A Nice Trip Out!! Dec 04, 2010
The resorts of the Red Sea are famous for their spectacular corals, fish, and underwater life. Therefore the area is incredibly attractive to snorkelers and divers. However, for those who neither snorkel nor dive, or just fancy a nice trip out on the open water, the solution lies in the glass bottomed boat trips that are available along the beach fronts and many of the superior hotels have their own boats, and all hotels will arrange trips for you in some boat.
It's a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours away from the hustle and bustle of the home land and if you fancy something a bit special and longer on the water you can organize an all day trip including lunch if you wish. There are also day and half day boat trips to the Ras Mohammad National Park should you want to spend a more luxurious day on the open sea, (unfortunately these were cancelled due to several shark attacks in Sharm whilst we were there.) I was gutted and would love to go back see Ras Mohammed as I have heard it was amazing!! With coral reef and colorful fish life, the world under water is unbelievable.
You don't have to be a diver to enjoy this, a glass bottom boat will give you a very good glimpse of the life under water.
Although not available for us, most of the boats will anchor at some point in the trip and allow those who wish to swim to do so off the side of the boat to snorkel. You can however just choose to sit up on top of the boat to enjoy the sunshine and the sea spray, or lower down watching the fish and the corals through the glass bottom of the boat if getting in the water is just not for you. It's also a great way to see the coastline and from £10pp depending on the trip you take of course it is well worthwhile taking this trip.
If you want to maximize the glass bottom boat trip experience, take the last boat of day. The sun will go down when you start the slow trip back to beach. You have plenty of time to enjoy the unforgettable views, Na'ama Bay is really beautiful. After all Sharm El-Sheik is one of the world’s best diving destinations and there are so there are many dive clubs around should that be something that takes your fancy.
The underwater scenery is wonderful with scenic reefs, colorful coral and exotic fishes. If you don’t want to go into the water for scuba diving or even snorkeling, you can take the glass bottom boat. The views at the reefs and fishes through the glass bottom were great and a would defiantly go again!
