Glasgow Film Theatre Reviews
Glasgow Film Theatre Jul 09, 2011
The Glasgow Film Theatre is a glorious art house cinema, where I saw a genuinely terrible film. The cinema screen is one of the most beautiful screening rooms I’ve seen – sweeping art deco style curves and beautiful lighting before the film starts. Of course, you’ll have to take my word for it because they kick you out if you start taking photos in cinemas! There is a nice bar, where they are more than happy to give you your beer in a plastic glass so you can take it into the picture with you and you can also buy ice cream and snacks. I’ve taken a picture of the bar, which is a terrible photo, but it gives you an idea of the architectural style.
Prices for tickets are good, at least compared to the multiplexes down south, and the seats are comfortable.
The cinema screens mostly art house and foreign films, along with the artier end of Hollywood.
