Gladstone Wetlands Boardwalk Dec 04, 2010
The Gladstone Boardwalk is an excellent jog, walk, or bicycle ride. It follows the Little Bay de Noc shoreline toward the east from Gladstone Campground to the Gladstone Point. The area is well-preserved in its natural state. From the sandy shore of Lake Michigan, deep grasses and cat-tails sweep inland to green willow bushes and rich forest.

Information placards along the boardwalk explain the wetlands that it passes through including their formation and importance in an ecological system. Occasional benches provide places to sit and try and absorb the pristine surroundings. A variety of birdlife attracted to the environment can also be seen.

A scenic walk anytime of year, if you do it in summer, don't pick all the raspberries.
