Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park Missoula Reviews
A True Gem in the Northern US Feb 19, 2011
We traveled by train from Milwaukee to East Glacier and 8 days later and continued on to
Seattle and look forward to the day we can return. In Glacier Park we stayed at Glacier Park Lodge for 3nights, Many Glacier Hotel for 3 nights and Lake McDonald Lodge for 2 nights and would highly recommend any of them.
Keep in mind these are rustic, 100 year old lodges and only offer basic amenities. When we were there heard many complaints about lack of cell coverage, television and internet. The scenery, hiking and tours was more than enough
for us. The Red Bus tours were excellent and fairly priced.
Everything with the park can be booked through
http://glacierparkinc.com/ the concessionaire for the National Park service.
As an addition booked Tea at Prince of Wales hotel. Was there this summer and enjoyed the tea and found the hotel quite charming. The
surrounding area of Waterton,Canada is quaint with shopping, galleries and a good assortment of eateries.

Glacier Ntl. Park is about an hour north of Missoula, also known as Zootown. The locals are very friendly and extremely down to earth and helpfull.
To see the grand mountain peaks and high elevations will most deff. be a life changing experience. there are many activities such as kyaking, hourse back riding, as well as numerous hikes that rate from hella experienced climbers to quite easy day hikes.
There are motels and fine dining.
Or if you are like me little cafes that serve bomber pies and beer.
Best way if you want to save wads of cash is stay out of the ritzy upper class lodges and be a real man or woman and sleep in one of the comfortable campgrounds.
like most national parks in the USA... its a good time.
oh and watch our for the grizzley bears.
