Up early today.  We were both anxious to see Glacier National Park.  The plan was to drive through from west to east and then return back to the west before heading south for the night well south of there.  Breakfast at the hotel was the same only slightly different.  I had a waffle, banana, hard-boiled egg, and coffee.  We were on the road an hour ahead of schedule.   Things went pretty well considering about a twenty minute hold-up for road construction. ...

Friday-  We got up early, and saw that the fire had moved much closer to us during the night.  There was a constant drone of helicoptors dumping large containers of water, scooped up from the nearby lake. We could actually see bursts of orange flames in the tops of trees, and it was close enough now to hear the crackling! We had planned to explore the northern part of Glacier Park today, but we were afraid they would close Going-To-The-Sun Road again with the fire moving in closer, ...

Today we had a fine day.  Air was clear.  We took going to the road.  On earth there is no heaven, but there are pieces of it.  

My best friend and I just recently got back from a 3 1/2 week roadtrip across the U.S. It was definitely the most amazing trip I've ever taken in my life. We took the northern route all the way out to the Pacific coast, went down the coast, then came back the southern route. For anybody who hasn't taken a lengthy roadtrip in their life, I highly suggest you do so while you are still young and single...it's a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget.
