I was so excited as it was a sea day to GLACIER BAY. We woke up at 4:30 am to light but when I went out on the balcony, I couldn't see a thing in front of me due to thick fog! UGH! Even the ship's fog horn sounded every 2 minutes! So I went back to bed until 7:30 and we went to breakfast and by 8:30 the fog was starting to lift. It did make for some cool pictures though. Went w/ my parents so got to go first class all the way; at least on the ship... then I went my class :)

Taking a cruise and land tour is definately the way to go for the first trip to Alaska. Its a great experience. I got to see several cities and do lots of great activities. Including a helicopter ride to a glacier that we walked on. A lumberjack show and walk thru a rainforest. Whale watching and cool shows on the ship. Panning for gold and train rides.A tour thru Denali National Park.
