I was born in Gjøvik, grew up in a small town just half an hour from the city. But I spent most of my teens here. Would have been kinda cool to stop, but I wasn't actually thinking about it. The lake is called Mjøsa, and is the largest lake in Norway. We have a couple of sayings about "my" side of the lake in contrast to the other side. We say that the people living on the other side has  a great view. They can see straight over to our side..... lol. And the other saying is; " it does...

I decided to take a friend up on an offer to come visit Norway. I am 1/4 Norwegian but don't know much about that side of my family heritage partly due to my grandpa passing away when my mom was young. So 4 days after the idea was planted i had tickets and here i am! with the average temp. -5 to 0 degrees so far, i am enjoying myself(just cold at times)meeting people and seeing what its like when its not 80 degrees and sunny :) also lucky for me my friend/tour guide speaks fluent norwegian :)
