Gipsformerei Berlin Reviews
Staatliche Museen zu Berin - Die Gipsformerei May 22, 2008
I've selected free, because the shop is free. I don't know if you can take a tour, and if that's possible... I don't know the price of a tour.
This institute is all about gypsen, statues made out of plaster. All the statues are copies of real life statues or icons, as in iconic objects. So you'll find copies of severall Venus', Apollos and other world famous statues, plaques and important historical objects. But no paintings or modern day things here. Most famous copies are: Bust of Nefertiti, Venus of Willendorf and the Apollo of Belvédère.
When taken a tour, if possible; my school had one because of the kind of education we take, you'll be able to see how they make the copies. This is all explained in... English! The tour guid does speak English, but not all employees can, so some parts might be told in German. Many Germans don't want to speak English because they can't or are afraid to make misakes.
