This elegant cafe is listed in Frommer's Italy, stated as the oldest (founded in 1733!) and most beautiful cafe in Florence. The outdoor area overlooks Piazza Repubblica, and is a nice place to sit for drinks at night.
I just had wine here, with complimentary tidbits by the counter, imagining all the people who had walked through its doors for over 276 years. After drinks, I had a stroll in Piazza Repubblica, beautiful at night, with lights from the streetlights and merry-go-round, serenaded by a busking trio.
