So Good!! Oct 11, 2009
I went here for my birthday dinner. I was unsure as I walked in. There were alot of older people and it seemed stuffy at first. While we were waiting for a table we looked at all the signed pictures on the wall...they were everywhere! Our waiter was awesome and explained everything on the menu. Yes it is expensive, but since the portions are so big you can share. We shared one baked potato three ways for goodness sakes! I had london broil which was off the chain!! The sauted spinich with garlic and mushrooms was really good too. All the portions are so big....but leave room for dessert!! All the desserts looked so good and are extremely large. We were so full, we took ours back to the hotel and ate in the comfort of our sweatpants in our hotel bed!! How dessert should be ate!! Make sure you make a reservation, just in case its really busy. We made ours online which made it really simple. I will def be back, at least for some dessert on my next trip to Chitown!

Pricy but Unforgettable Dec 21, 2008
Many restaurants in Chicago pride themselves on a great steak, and Gibson's is no exception. Great atmosphere, soft lighting, white linen tablecloths, cozy booths, and great big windows to people watch, if you like. The walls are covered with autographed photos from their celebrity fans, and on a Friday or Saturday night you'll more than likely be dining with a few of them :) The menu is created new everyday, and the specials are worth every penny (lobster tail flown in fresh everyday, steaks aged to perfection). The staff is very attentive, and willing to do whatever they can to make your experience memorable.

Famous for a Reason! Sep 26, 2008
This steakhouse in the Gold Coast region of the city is simply the best steakhouse I've been to in Chicago. This place, much like Morton's and others like it is extremely pricey, with a top cut steak going for about $50 without any sides. The steak melts in your mouth and they have about every high-cut available and will show you the raw cuts on a tray before you order. The ambiance feels just like every other steak house you've ever been to and this place is always packed. The wine list is very extensive and pricey, but then again, look where you are! All in all, great place to entertain clients and spend the bucks if you have them!

This steakhouse was kind of disappointing. It's definitely a nice, casual environment and they seemed to have some nice offerings, but unfortunately that could not be said of the things that we ordered (filet mignon and broiled salmon). For the price ($46 for my little filet, $30 for the salmon) I've just simply had better. This place ranks average at best, but their service is nice, genuine and energetic.

Beware, however, of some rude, old-man bartenders that are there! Though drinks taste good, you won't get any service unless you stand on your seat and make boogah-boogah noises to get their attention.
Interoir of restaurant.
