Oslo without a car, no problem Mar 23, 2008
What a beautiful clean city. I visited with a friend in Dec. 2006. We checked out the shopping, Hard Rock and several other little pubs, and basically tried to keep a little money in our pockets, which isn't an easy thing to do, especially when a bier on tap cost nearly 20 US dollars! I figured the food wouldn't be TOO terribly pricey..wrong again! The castle, harbor, shopping, hotels are within walking distance but buses are always an option.
-Certainly worth your time to visit but bring plenty of cash-ola in the form of credit cards. -I haven't seen so many drunk women in my whole life as there! -Places to go: Club 34 (great drinks and awesome view of Oslo from the 34th story), Castle for changing of the guard (hourly), Presseklubben for a relaxed place to have a drink and talk, 1 Bar by the harbor for a little cognac and Cuban, Smudget for live music and dancing, Kristians IV for a good european disco |

We might as well do the same thing over here in England and rename Manchester International ‘Manchester International London Branch’. The only way to see ‘ Oslo ’ from here was by looking at it on a fucking map. Anyroad, by the time… Norway: Oslo |

The next day, I just walk around the city. I go to Aker Brygge which is a nice port by the sea, Teaterkaffen is a popular meeting point in Oslo city, Kirkeristen and old market place. I wanted to see more of Oslo , place like the Royal palace, museums, theater, Old town and the Maritime museum but I have no time. I had my lunch that… Oslo, Vigeland Sculpture and Me |

…planned the first part of my trip to be a laid back vacation of hanging out with my friend, meeting some new people, and walking around and getting to know the area. So far, so good! :) I've been here for almost two weeks and I'm starting to get familiar with things. Since I'm saving my partying for Canada, I haven't really been… Norway '07 |

We had been getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep a night and though the jetlag had disappeared, it wasn’t enough!
The next day, we decided to walk around Oslo and see whatever struck as interesting. I am a big fan of walking around the streets… Oslo |
