A pleasant atmosphere and tasty food at George's Apr 09, 2011
We enjoyed lunch and a break from our visit to the Walters Art Museum at nearby George's. A docent at the museum recommended George's and she was right! The restaurant is located in the Peabody Court Hotel at Cathedral and Monument.

The lunch fare was just right! Susan ordered a Traditional Cobb Salad. I had a George Peabody Club sandwich and a cup of Maryland Crab Soup. (One can't visit Maryland and not have crab!) There was lots of crab in the soup and the sandwich, served on thick sliced wheat berry toast, was very generous! (I considered the interesting sounding Grilled Salmon BLT, but went with the Club.)

The restaurant is in an atrium setting one flight up from the hotel lobby. There is a nice view of Mount Vernon Place park. George's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is named after the three George's of Baltimore: George Washington, George Peabody, and George Herman "Babe" Ruth, the baseball player.

Recommended!
