New Years Eve - Sydney Dec 28, 2012
New years eve in Sydney, Australia is amazing. The main 'central' road of the city, George Street is open only to pedestrians from Town Hall Station, right down to The Rocks (Sydney Harbour Bridge). The city will be completely packed with people from all over the world. The bars along George Street spill out onto the road, with 100 plus people in front of each that are dancing, drinking and having a great time. It's a celebration that can get a little wild, however it can be a really amazing experience if you exercise some common sense.

There is usually a fire works diplay at 9:00pm, which is aimed at the families. The main display begins with a countdown to midnight. Try and find a location that has a good view of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Darling Harbour also has a great fireworks display.

Have fun, be safe, and embrace the experience.
