General Info

Hi,

Porec is a wonderful little town. The must see sights are the 3 remaining towers from the medieval wall (Round, Pentagonal & Northern) as well as the Roman ruins. The Basillica is also a must see. And just wandering up and down the tiny streets is also great fun.

As for excursions, there are a few, and they will depend on your cash flow and time allowance. When we were there for a week, we did 2 trips. one was an all day trip to Venice. It was a an early-ish start, and a long-ish ferry trip (3 hours one way, I think) but Venice was great. The other trip was to Bled n Slovenia. This was even better. I'd not even heard of the place, and was a bit doubtful about going. But I was glad I did. Awesome scenery and a nice little town to boot. Again, it was a long trip - about 3 hours one way by coach, but well worth it.
