Classy Indian Restaurant Feb 21, 2011
I was brought here by my Indian companion who is a vegetarian.
This is just a few steps away from Holiday Inn where we stayed and very central.
The interior is classy and nice. Intricate designs are of good taste. The attendants are indians and chinese. There was a mistake in serving the food: my main course (non-veg) was served to my vegetarian companion and vice-versa. We requested for a change of plate and it was quickly done. The service is also a bit slow considering there isn't that much of diners that time. It took them quite a while to give us the bill and out wet tisues that I got so impatient and washed my hands at the bathroom instead :P
Food is very good. Everything we ordered is superbly very good from appetizers to main. I would highly recommend chat for appetizer...cant remember the exact kind but it's like a cookie with garnish on top...very good! We also had a chickpeas appetizer which we ate with bread. I had a chicken curry dish with nan for main dish and ordered mango lassi for drinks to drown the spicy flavor :) It wasn't very spicy but I have low tolerance for spicy food :P
Overall, very good dining experience and will come back again :)
I don't know how much the a la carte lunch costed us...my companion paid for it. Frommers stated that main dishes will be around HK$90-175.
