Gasthof Zum Weißen Rössel Horn (Austria) Overview
A little history about the inn "Zum Weissen Rössel"For more than 400 years, the "Weisses Rössl" has been a stop inn, demonstrated by the citizen's emblem on the right side of the entrance. Before this time, the inn was a Protestant prayer house. The beautiful sand stone door frame is still from the church entrance of that time. The "Rösselstube" of today was the former horse stable of the protestant priest. In the course of the renovation work in 1982, the feeding trough (which today can be seen as flower trough) and the later inn's fire place, the "Rauchkuchl", have been uncovered. The horse at the facade on the main square (from the epoque of the Baroque) relates to the beautiful sgraffito house in Horn.
