For a more sedate/romantic night head on over to Seaport Village. |

The heart of downtown is home of the Gas Lamp quarter,
which reminds me a lot of the French Quarter in New Orleans. While I
have a deep connection to NOLA and the Quarter, the Gas Lamp district
is bigger, has better shops, and is much cleaner. Even though there are

In the evening we went to the gas lamp quarter and had dinner in a place called ‘Dicks’.Which turned out to be run by a bunch of dicks.It was there motto to be complete dicks to their customers. It was funny but when you don’t know its their thing its hard… Founded by the Germans,who named it San Diego, which of course is german for a whales vagina! |

I was happy to take off my sandals and put my feet in the water. The sounds of the waves and people instantly put me in a relaxed mode. I love the beach!
We could've walked around some more but we got hungry and decided to go to the Gas Lamp District for dinner. … At least SOME beach time... |

The beach fronts are loaded with tourists and are lively, but in the city itself, we headed to the Gas Lamp district which was very cool.
The best thing in San Diego is the zoo. Oh my god! It is massive. We took a day to get around, but it was a day very well spent. The hghlights for me were… San Diego - breathe it in. |

There is also other boats and ships to look at, the Star of India - an old iron sailing ship, HMS Surprise - a replica of the original which was used in the film Master and Commander and a B39 Russian Sub.
We ate in the gas lamp district which was a great and lively area to end the night.
