You can spend time here about 2-3 hours to witness the statue pieces, supposedly when completed, will be one of the largest statue in the world. In addition, you can also create temporary tattoos for free here. At a certain hour, there's these Barong and Dances performances in its amphitheater. Variety of merchandise can also be purchased at the counter exit the park.

Before exiting, do not forget to enjoy the view from the top of hill of south Bali. In a bright clear day, you can watch planes take-off and landing at Bali's Ngurah Rai airport.

For first-time visitor to Bali, you should make the Garuda Wisnu Kencana into your itinerary list, if it has not been done prior by your travel agent.

Garuda Wisnu Kencan, Bali Nov 22, 2010
Garuda Wisnu Kencana is located on the top of one hill in Bali. With a great view of Kuta beach and also Jimbaran, it will give you an amazing experience especially if you go there with your couple. It takes 30 minutes driving from Kuta area and has a large area contain of many supporting tourism attractions.

Its main idea is the craftsmen want to build a huge statue of God Wisnu (one of Hindu’s God) riding Garuda bird. Garuda is taken because of his sacrifice to save his mother from slavery while in the end it’s protected by God Wisnu.

When you visited this place, you would not just get a view of the statue, but also enjoy many difference attractions and views. You can enjoy Bali traditional dances, get a temporary tattoo for free, play flying fox and enjoy a lot of traditional foods at the food court.

If you are a photography lover, I would recommend GWK as a great place to take lot of pictures. I and my friends spend around 2 hours there for taking hundreds of pictures.

I recommend you to visit GWK when you are visiting Bali.
