I ran across this store in Ipanema called "Garota de Ipanema" which was near the hostel where I was staying. My friend and I needed new beach gear to get the proper Brazil beach experience, so we went in looking for pretty much everything we´d need for the next week or so. They have these beach sheets called "kangas" in many colors and sizes along with shorts. The lady at the store said either one was what girls were wearing down here. The bikinis are a tad smaller than your standard American bikini, but they will make you look your best at the beach, seriously. I ended up buying about two pairs to take home, along with some flip-flops. If you´re looking to get a nice tan while in Rio, this store is definately worth stopping by..
